Just flew right through that。 I’m reading these in the “romantic” order, so I read this right after Heir of Fire and it has given me really great insight into Celaena and her character as a whole。 Assassin’s Blade is a collection of novellas, so it was really easy for my to fly right through。 Ready to get started on Queen of Shadows!

I read this in between Crown of Midnight and Heir of Fire and brought so much clarity to what I thought I already knew!!! And even thought I knew the “sadness” was coming didn’t make it that much easier getting to the end of the book, heartbroken but excited to see what happens in the rest of the books!!!!

I literally cried my eyes out。 Omg why did she make me love him to death。

Alicia Pettis

I had the hardest time starting in skills bay with the characters, but it got so much better after that。 Especially the parts in the red desert。 I had to put it down and take a break as it got closer to the end, as any reader of the series knows what happens…😭 finally finished it and sobbed A LOT

Abby Day

just as soul crushing as the first time 🫶💔

Cathrine Faye

This books was good but definitely wasn’t what I was expecting I loved Sam courtland and celaena were great I love them but I just didn’t vibe with the format of this book I guesss Literally made me sobb I loved the characters 😭😩

Lila Murphy

This book was so good I’m a bit scared of fantasy because of all the characters and plot and huge books but I really loved this one。 I’m so excited to continue the series

Taryn

much love for the plot。 not much love for Celaena。

Katie Incarnati

“My name is Celaena Sardothein, and I will not be afraid”。😭

If I had read this one before I read the rest of the series, it would have had a higher rating。 Since I read it last though, it was hard to get into。

Borbála Sebestyén

It was fine, but i dont really understand the hype with Sam

The first half of the book didn't capture my attention, but the second half started to tie in more directly to the love story and to things that had been hinted at in the previous books。 That's when it hooked me。 I also loved the cameos during the ball scene。 The first half of the book didn't capture my attention, but the second half started to tie in more directly to the love story and to things that had been hinted at in the previous books。 That's when it hooked me。 I also loved the cameos during the ball scene。 。。。more

SPOILERSI am in utter despair。I loved Arobynn, but he ended up being just the WORST。 At first I really liked Ansel too, and while I can see where she’s coming from with her motives, I simply cannot stand for it。 I loved Sam too - he was my favorite - but of course, since I can’t have anything good in life, he bit the dust。 🤗I might’ve given this book more of a 4。5 since some parts seemed to drag on and on for what felt like forever, but honestly there were a LOT of REALLY good parts, which makes SPOILERSI am in utter despair。I loved Arobynn, but he ended up being just the WORST。 At first I really liked Ansel too, and while I can see where she’s coming from with her motives, I simply cannot stand for it。 I loved Sam too - he was my favorite - but of course, since I can’t have anything good in life, he bit the dust。 🤗I might’ve given this book more of a 4。5 since some parts seemed to drag on and on for what felt like forever, but honestly there were a LOT of REALLY good parts, which makes it a full 5。I miss Sam。 :( 。。。more

I’m really glad I read this third in the series, instead of first。 It’s technically a prequel (5 novellas) to TOG。 You can read it anytime you’d like。 Most people prefer first for purist (chronological order) or 3rd/4th for an romantic (more emotional experience)。 Whichever order you read it in, you’ll love it!

Gabrielle Lithg

I loved the way it connected wall the dots from the other books, I really enjoyed reading it and remembering things from the books as they happened in her past。 Highly recommend

Elizabeth Perot

She deserved to be sent to the salt mines for how stupid she was。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 man this book made me SO sad 😭 i’m glad i decided to read it after heir of fire since Arobynn is coming back into the picture after all this time。 it also had a great emotional impact in the timeline。 i didn’t really understand the need for the first couple stories but after the last one i was glad to have read those。 it showed other sides to Celaena and also showed us the beginning of her and Sams relationship。 “My name is Sam Cortland and I will not be afraid。” this gives me major CC vibes and man this book made me SO sad 😭 i’m glad i decided to read it after heir of fire since Arobynn is coming back into the picture after all this time。 it also had a great emotional impact in the timeline。 i didn’t really understand the need for the first couple stories but after the last one i was glad to have read those。 it showed other sides to Celaena and also showed us the beginning of her and Sams relationship。 “My name is Sam Cortland and I will not be afraid。” this gives me major CC vibes and reminds me of the scene with Lehabah, instantly made me tear up。 and i love that Celaena chose those words to always keep sam with her。 he deserved so much better and i hope Arobynn pays。 。。。more
